OK, 4x users - can you confirm that the mic input can work simultaneously as the line inputs? This is huge for me - the manual says they are always active, the menu icon shows a routing pic that suggests the same, but the sound will not work unless I switch the audio input from "mic" to "line"
Users, please test this on your units, and tell me what I might be missing, thanks!

This is one of the only times I can remember that I was unable to bring a new instrument out on the job right away. Makes me sad that I can't.

I'm not pulling the plug so fast (my name's not Dnj - LOL)
I'm sure there's an answer; most likely that it needs repair, as the manual clearly states that this function should work as listed. This is just a speed bump - not jumping ship just yet!

Good tip - already did post there, and got a few suggestions of things I already tried. Frankie V has confirmed that the manual is correct, and works as it should, so at least I have a starting point. I need to talk to service people at this point. At least I know it'll be functional for me when it's made right!

OK - Korg Support got back to me:

I found out that the issue is NOT with the PA4X, but rather with the PAAS speaker bar. The 1/8" and dual 1/4" inputs work as stated (yay), but when you use the sound bar, you must choose either the mic or line input.

Weird, huh?

Anyone want a mint PAAS for $300?

Sigh ... yup. An adjustment, for sure - but it sounds too good to not try it. I'll work on it during the (US) holiday weekend, and try to bring it on stage next week. Hope I don't hate it - I'm SOOOOOOO used to the onboard speakers.
