Woodstock I it wasn't.

Been watching it for a few nights. Going along with the dress topic I.don't understand some of these players. Getting a chance to play at a major festival and some look like they're going to mow the lawn or change the car oil when they get off stage. Yes it's a casual outdoor festival but really.
Like to know others opinions of some of the performances too. Right now I'm watching Aaron Neville and I'm very underwhelmed. Gov't Mule who I really like seemed to mail it in too. No energy and they do the best cover of What Is Hip I ever heard.

On the 'dress topic', I saw the Ron Carter trio at the Newport Jazz Festival a couple of years ago and even in the heat of August they were dressed in light colored slacks, royal blue blazer, shirt and tie ... CLASS all the way ... and then you have people like Jamie Cullum wearing a tee shirt and black jeans or whatever, dancing on the grand piano and kicking the keys with his bare feet ...
ALL the 'older' greats I have seen there: Brubeck, Mulligan, etc. etc., all dressed VERY well ...
