It still ain't a Bose, when you look a the specs. The horizontal coverage is just 100 degrees, not 210 like the Bose Compact. But, JBL, like the others is trying to catch up.

I don't like what JBL has been doing lately in the field of portable PA speakers.

I used to own the JBL Eon 510, which were rated 280W RMS and had a weight of 7.5kg (aroung 17 lbs) per speaker.
Now the only speakers available with such a low weight are the ridiculous 206p with 2 x 80 W and bad reviews at Thomann.de.

The newer Eon 610 may be good, but considerably heavier. This one and the new 208p are also heavier.

No successor to the Eon 510 with respect to its efficient weight/performance ratio.

LD has a great lineup of speakers.. Just saying,...

Low end goes down to 37.5 hz, and has a 10-inch sub. Has to be have more bottom than L1 Compact.
Has reverb and mixer.
Has Bluetooth.
The 50 degree vertical coverage is what reaches the back of the room.
Weighs 40 pounds when transporting.

I use JBL 515xts and they're great. 32 lbs. 600 watts and full range with a 15" woofer. The down side is they really throw the sound out so in a small room you don't know what they sound like till your about 20 feet away. And I hate setting up speakers stands. Most of the time I skip that and angle them on the floor or even use some chairs.

Just called JBL support and the eon One it won't be available till July. Looks very interesting and I really like JBL so I guess we have to wait and see. I'm also wary of a 10" woofer no matter what magic they say they did to it.

I like the features, but it’s too heavy for an old guy like me to tote. Needs to be 25 lbs., or lighter, to get my interest, no matter how good it sounds or the cost. Plus, I need two of anything, since I only play in stereo.

I have two Bose L1 Compacts I will sell. They are my second set. Still in warranty.

just to clear something up about coverage, technically every speaker in the world had a 360 degree coverage, what you need to know is the full story, for example

maybe

0-50 degree coverage, 123 db, 50-15k +/-3db
51-75 coverage, 118 db, 50-9k +/-6db
76-125 coverage, 112 db, 50-5k +/-10db
126-175 coverage, 90 db, 50-1k +/-15db

etc, not one of these companies can or will give you those kind of specs, because #1 they don't want to look bad if there's doesn't look good, and #2 it's pretty much impossible unless your outside with no walls for anything to bounce back at you

so please, listen and if it sounds good, that the first thing, then everything else.

I never read specs. That’s only confusing. My take---first, does the product look and sound good for my needs? How bulky or heavy is it? And, lastly, the price.
