Picking my jaw up off the floor. It's getting more and more amazing what some of these young guys can do. I guess nobody told them there's a limit to how fast you can play a bass guitar smile. His timing is spot on as well. Too bad it's too late for us old farts to go back and start working on our technique smile.

There's a young man here who makes me sound like a beginner. On top of that, instead of being arrogant, he's grateful, saying he used to lurk outside of some of my gigs picking up hints.

What an honor. I hear old guys moaning about the death of descent music and announcing that "big band" is on the way back.

This and other kids show us that there is no shortage of talent, and "big bands", probably like the ones posted here recently
will maintain a continuing standard of evolving excellence.

Good find, Nigel.

And I always love Tal Wilkenfeld on bass with Jeff Beck. She has real sensitivity.

Been watching Tai for about 5 years. Met her at Namm.

Beck also uses another female...a tall black lady who is also fantastic.

Of course, there's my "little man", Victor Wooten. In my ideal group, the very best player would be the bass player.

FUN!

That would be Rhonda Smith Russ. I saw her play with Jeff Beck in LA. It was an awesome concert. Dweezil Zappa with Zappa Plays Zappa opened for him. Rhonda also played bass with Prince.

Love Victor. Here is a video my wife Kerry took at NAMM a couple of years ago with Victor playing Europa with Frank Gambale, Tom Coster and Steve Smith.
