I am trying to edit the midi files in my Pa900. I purchased the keyboard from Don Mason; he had about 50 midi files in the keyboard and I am trying to remove some and add new ones.

No problem editing the SMF on my USB stick. How do I access the ones on the Korg Disk so that I can edit them?

Thank You, John C.

John ...Not sure where you are experiencing a problem, but when you press the 'SONG PLAY' or 'SEQUENCER' button on the kb, the files on the 'KORG DISK' should show on the screen ... If you want to EDIT a midi file, press 'SEQUENCER', the files should show on the screen ... scroll to the file you want to edit, press select and you should then have the file in the SEQUENCER, edit away ...
Hope this helps ... If not let me know ...

Tony, thank you.
I was never any good at explaining myself; so here goes.
Dom’s songs on the Korg Disk. (Not my SUB stick)

I would like to:

1- Delete some – I found out how to do that.
2-Add some new SMF to the list.
3-Possibly copy some of don’s SMF to my computer, then to my I pad.

To add new ones, use the COPY function. Go to Media, select COPY, go to USB drive, find file and select it, they hit COPY TO. Then select the location you want to COPY TO, and select COPY.
Reverse the procedure to copy the files from the Korg to the USB, and then you can put them on computer.
Or you can connect the Korg to your computer using USB.

John ... just a personal preference but I prefer to keep everything on a USB stick and not on the KORG disc... that makes it very easy to transfer SMF from the USB to the computer and vice versa ... I keep a backup USB stick as well ...

Wow, what a quick response from both of you. Thanks for the help.

Tony, I normally put everything on a USB stick; Don opened a new thought’

Don, Look out, I started to sing some of the SMF country song you had in the keyboard. I sound like country boy with a New York accent.
