New XMS sound package for Korg instruments.
Recently they tried to advertise it on the big German musicians' forum, but users there, especially those from the synth forum, are very analytical and sceptical, so Deebach didn't get very far with their purely marketing statements. Nevertheless, I do like some of their sounds!

What exactly is the XMS-Pro Music System? I see a Korg Pa600 being played, so where does the XMS come in?

Confused in Canada. smile

The Deebach packages can be installed on Korg keyboards, and they replace the Korg sounds completely. I.e., you cannot install them additionally, but you lose all Korg sounds as long as the Deebach sounds are installed. This has also been criticized in the German forum, they don't offer a solution where you could keep at least a part of the Korg sounds. (Of course you could always restore the original Korg sounds with a reset).
EDIT: So, what you hear soundwise is nothing from Korg, all from Deebach. The Korg PA is just a body shell (plus, I'm not sure about that, Korg's style data (definitely without style sounds)). Maybe someone who has used it can explain in how far the Korg styles are integrated into the Deebach soundset...

Thanks for explaining that! I don't like the idea that you lose all of Korg's sounds. Why buy a Korg and then lose the sounds?
Unless you get a cheaper Korg, like a Pa300, and replace its sounds with the better Deebach.

Yes, I think it only makes sense for the cheaper ones, but possibly for PA-600 for some people who really want to have those Deebach sounds. I guess there are some who want to have the original Wersi organ sounds. The owner Deebach used to work for Wersi when it still existed as a manufacturer.

Yeah, that's my thoughts about it too.
If I buy a PA6 or 900, why should I totally replace the Korg system that made me buy the keyboard in the first place?
If Deebach will fit into a older outranged model that I do not use anyway, it could be another story.
Maybe this would be grat as a module?

Because there is thing called "SAMPLING". Factory sounds can only go so far. Think outside of the box.

In the German forum they mentioned that they had invested 1.3 million euros in developing the soundset (throughout the past 10 years).

Thats no proof of anything... That depends on how you do your calculations..

If you create the sounds yourself and charge €800 for evevry hour you spend, then thats not a lot of effort..

If you only calculate the expenses outside of salary from the owners, then its a huge sum for such a package...
