which one do you prefer, the yamaha Wheels, the korg joystick, or the Roland bender?

To me the Korg joystick works most naturall
The Yamaha wheels are okay
Never been a fan of the Roland bender...

In the end my Kronos (as well as the pa4x) with a combination of joystick and the slider is the perfect combination.. it allows al the left hand controll one would ever need..

As you said, joystick all the way. Much easier to use and much more natural.

I much prefer joystick. I also love the touch strip on my 4x.

Actually the touchstrip is a requirement, beacuse you cant keep the joystick in a position, while the mod wheel can be used for any vallue from 0 to 127.. Same as the touchstrip,

did anyone ever have a go with the 2 touchstrips of the NI komplete keyboards, they are quite multifunctional..

Also the vector stick of the Kronos is a nice tool...

Or the D-beam of Roland, which also is quite usefull

And then there is the x/y pad on some korg stuff

But probably the best controller ever was the trip pad on the Roland V-synth..

The Yamaha PSRA3000 has the joystick which you can now assign to do all the things that the two assignable switches do on the PSRS970 and PSRS770. This new model caters to the middle eastern market with dedicated 1/4 tone scale buttons and arabic, turkish, Iranian styles but still has many of the styles from the 770 and 970 models. It also has the 512MB of flash memory to load in your own samples or yamaha voice and style packages.

This joystick indeed seems to be one of the reasons why the Korg instruments are so popular in the orient.. They allow for much more precise and fast actions. they make a lot of use of the joystick in their typical playstyles..
