It is with deep sorrow I announce the death of my friend Jim Helwig this morning. His wife, claire, called me a few minutes ago. He and I, along with John C and others, used to put on the Fl KN7000 jams.

He was only 67, but was in failing health the last few months.

His wife needs to sell his KN7000's. If there is any interest, e-mail me.

Jim Helwig was a fine man; he added a great deal to the jams here in Florida. The first time I heard one of his instrumentals I asked if there was more – he was a true professional musician.

I bought Bernie’s Kn7000 the week and as I looked through the extras he gave me I found a SD card with "Jim’s Styles" written on it; he added so much to the jams we had and love of the Kn7000 keyboard.

That is indeed very sad news... Jim and I became good friends during and after the Florida Jams and corresponded quite regularly by email although I hadn't heard from him for some time.
He was a fine musician and a great guy...... I still have some of his sequence recordings on my SD Cards.

RIP Jim
