I am about to purchase a Yamaha S970.
I have a stand to use for gigs, but would like to leave it set up in the lounge for everyday use.
Are there any nice looking keyboard stands, suitable for a lounge and sized for a 61-note keyboard?
Perhaps something that looks like the Yamaha L-255

I use the Quick-loc M91 stand.

No disassembly. The legs fold in, and folds flat for transporting.

Plenty of room for pedals underneath.

I have an Ultimate Support V stand for gigs, and have used a QuikLok X type stand in the past. I am looking for something non-metallic, perhaps made of wood, that fits in with a lounge in a similar way to some of the Clavinovas.

A few years back I had a neighbor that was throwing out a portable organ. I took it, and gutted it out for my PSR3000, which fit perfectly. It hid all the cables, pedals etc. It even had a music stand.

You can pick them up on Craigslist for under $50.

That's an interesting idea
How difficult was it to gut?
Can you put your PSR in and out easily?
Craigslist not big in UK, but there are equivalents

It was simple. Once you remove the front panel, which was held on with Velcro, there is usually a large speaker, a lot of wires, and some electronic boards.

Everything is screwed and glued. You don't have to be careful because all you want is the frame, and key bed shelf.

Everything else goes in thrash.

Keyboard just sits on the key bed shelf. After gutting it is a lot lighter.

Hello

I am using with my Tyros 5 this one and is amazing....and LIGHT, I still have the M91*92 Monolith(same price the upstage I have now), nice BUT Heavy, and many times you folded and unfolded, they have a weak joint that breaks, and that is why I have 2, now both disable, at the time I had not found this stand(Link below), Is wonderful, and for those that use 2 keyboards, there is a 2 board version too.

Both version are available in Silver or Black

Mike, I asked a similar question some time ago:
http://www.synthzone.com/forum/ubbthread...o_fo#Post370916

I ended up getting a Tyros 5 and the complementary Yamaha L-7s stand. I decided there was no good way to have it face my guests, so I put the whole thing against the wall. However, after being used to MOTL arrangers with built-in speakers, the subwoofer is in the way, and all those wires are hideous!

I'm not sure if these folks ship to the USA, but if I don't come up with my own solution, I would consider something like this TRX stand:
http://www.tyrosorgan.com/page9.html

I'm following this thread and still open to other good solutions.
