I have just received an e-mail telling me that I am the lucky winner of $5 million dollars to be deposited into an account of my choice. It is from a so called lottery in the netherlands that I know nothing about.

I am sure that it is just a hoax to get info about my bank account.

Has anyone else received this kind of notification?

thanks

Larry

Larry,
No, not this particular one but I've received quite a few similar messages in the past month. We have two mail addresses and all of the "scam" letters have come on the address that I use for music, and for things other than personal Emails.
My ISP says that most of the spam and scam Emails come out of Europe.
So,everyone BEWARE!
Walt

Don't start spending the money yet, Larry!

It is a scam; we get similar email almost every week.
A blasted nuisance, to be ignored!

Hi Larry,

That firm is known here in Holland. Serveral publications in papers and special consumer programms on tv.
That due to people who complained after they got in and got stick for a year in that lotery.
(Stupid or gready people. I have never met or know people who give me for free 5 million.)

So they proberly lost market here in Holland and go abroad.
My advise not only for this mail/firm. Don't even open it, throw it away.

rgds.
Willem

Thanks all for the info. I was hoping that I could now order a KN8000 from one of those dealers that gouges people and not even worry about. Oh well, my KN7000 is purring along just fine for now.

Thanks again.

Yes, here in Florida I received the same message. My reply was:
"I sold my Cow, I sold my Cow, I have no use for your Bull now. Lloyd

There probably isn't anything that angers me more than SPAM. The all time no-no is, NEVER answer a SPAM. Once they hear from you, they know that your email address is active and you get SPAMED ten fold.
