This has always been one of my favourite R&B songs. It was recorded in the 60's performed by Wilson Pickett. I used Blues Rock style on my PSR S750 and played Warm Solid Guitar. Hope you enjoy this blast from the past. Used to do this stuff when I was 18/19 years old. Here's the 69 year old version.

Thanks Donny.

I used the default tempo. I'd like to try it the way you do it. Do you use that style? What's your tempo? Recording was a bit of a mission to get the break and harmony on and off so quickly.

Don

Don, that's the same style I use for this song - great style. That same style is also great for Marie Laveau, which Don Mason conned me into doing one night - been doing it ever since.

Marie Laveau

All the best,

Gary cool

Hey Gary, I love it. Straight from the Louisiana bayous. Gonna see if I can find lyrics on line. Sounds like a great story song!

Great vocals. Lots of guts. I love soloing on that style. I'm going to add that to my repertoire and stick a guitar solo in there.

That's a great idea. Thanks for listening Beaky. I like your comment about "gut styled vocals". Just gotta sing that song that way.

Well, here's a couple of versions DNJ. One is on Korg PA3X from a few years ago and the other is on Roland, I think BK7m, but could be E50.
Remember these are recorded live on the job, unedited, etc., mistakes and all.
