Lets face it - it's one Hell of a good sounding machine with a huge array of great features. Why wouldn't it sell?

Because two knobs and an arpeggiator are not enough reason for most to uograde from an 950 to a 970? Because for most 950 owners their current sound is allready good enough and all they need to shine...

Other than the new control knobs, seems to me the biggest upgrade is to memory. At least the 970 will have some room for voice expansion.

That said, it still boggles my mind, that in this day and age, a keyboard can list for over $2,000 and still not have a significantly large size internal hard drive.

Even cheaper laptops have gigabyte drives.

Strange.

Bachus, I didn't mention anything about upgrading from a 950 to a 970 - that just ain't gonna happen, at least for the most part. However, those that are still playing a 900 or 910 would likely jump into a 970, which would be a big upgrade.

All the best,

Gary cool

The keyboard that got us interested in using arrangers for a gig was the PSR E423...few years back.

That board has two live controllers on it. We assigned one of those controllers to tempo...used it all the time live...very handy to have.
