My PC does not recognise to KN2000 when connected to the PC via midi to gameport (using Cakewalk). It says there are no midi input devices, and it does not appear in the midi drop down menu either in Cakewalk.

Is there a driver I need to do this for my PC. (I have no disks for this keyboard.

Your PC will not show the KN2000 as a MIDI device, the MIDI In and Out for the Gameport should appear on the the drop down menu and selecting these should allow the KN2000 to be used. If the Gameport MIDI connections are not shown in the menu then there is a problem with either the Gameport or its drivers. If they appear correct you can test the KN2000 MIDI by connecting a MIDI cable directly from its MIDI Out to its MIDI in. If you set another part (e.g. Part 5) to the same MIDI Channel as Right 1 (normally Channel 1) and also set this part to a different instrument to Right 1 you should hear both instruments sound when playing a key.

PS I see you are also an Aussie. From what area?
