For the past week, every time I do a job, a few individuals in the audience have been asking for Christmas songs. I tell them that in accordance with Musician's Union regulations, I cannot perform Christmas songs till after Thanksgiving. Today, one lady said "Well, I already had my Thanksgiving dinner, so as far as I'm concerned, it's OVER!" I caved in and performed Merry Christmas Darling, everyone loved it - guess I did something right. smile

I would play a chorus of chop sticks if it made some ones day.

On our last gig I was half packed up at a private party. A gentleman from the adjoining bar came over and said he and his wife were celebrating their 50th anniversary. He asked if we could play an Elvis tune. I said sure, and turned my keyboard and speakers back on. We did Can't Help Falling in Love, and he went an got his wife for the dance. It sure made their day , and anniversary memorable. He asked for some cards, and I'm sure it will result in a payback. It also made my day knowing I made someone happy.
