Wishing all veterans a wonderful day. How many have served in the Korean Conflict? I served from 1951 till 1953 and still
remember what went on there. Lloyd

I was too you, but lost an uncle there. I remember that still as if it were today.

I served in the Navy during the Cyprus revolt and Bay Of Pigs Invasion and Cuban Missile Crisis. I was in the reserves during Vietnam and didn't get called up. However, because of my musical career and performing for the Korean War Vets, I have been nominated as an honorary member of that association.

Cheers,

Gary cool

My sincere thanks to all who served our country. I was never asked to go, but I did my part by paying attention to the many wives and girlfriends left behind!
Actually that's not true at all, but it made a good joke. I unknowingly stayed a step ahead of the draft board, by going to college, getting married and having a baby. At least my wife had a baby. By that time Vietnam was in its waning days and I suppose they forgot about me or I was too old. I was ready to go, but no ready enough to volunteer.
My hat is off to all of you who DID serve in our armed forces!

I was taking armor training at Ft. Knox when the Cuban missile crisis broke ... nervously listened to JFK's speech in the barracks with the rest of the unit ... they mobilized an armor battalion from Ft. Knox to Ft Hood Texas overnight ...

ya gotta LOVE this guy:
