Hello All,

I want to make about a 30 second radio commercial on my Tyros 4.

What I want is to record background music that I play and overdub with my voice. I know there is a multi-track built in to the Tyros...but I've never used it.

My end product would be an MP3 or CD with the commercial on it.

Anyone know how to do this?

I do have a separate digital multi-track recorder I could go to and mix down from there...but I'm thinking my Tyros 4 should do it.

Suggestions?

Tx

Record music on track 1....................

then plug in mic and record vocals or voice on track 2...

and save......used finished file in anyway you desire.....

We do hundreds a year; usually over a jingle package of pre-programmed 30, 60 and 10 sec beds. The donut is critical. Make sure you have copy which fits and dosen't "push the in and out.

Also, if it's a real spot to be placed, it needs to be 29.7 or so. No media folks I know will or can use a 30 that's not under slightly.

Goo luck. Check with the media to see about the preferred deliverable.

To be effective, the background over the voice-over can't bee too busy, and obviously, volume must be right.

Radio packages are FUN to work on.

Ditto on what Russ said. I've made hundreds of radio commercials when I worked in broadcast radio. While it was fun, it was also very difficult work to make everything fit, balance the background and make it sound commercially viable.

Good Luck,

Gary cool
