Off topic - my attempt at an "arranger" keyboard back in 1985! I found this while scanning old photos. From 1985. My gig rig then was a Yamaha DX-7, a Yamaha SK20 (organ/synth), and sometimes a Sequential Circuits DrumTrax drum machine (although my 6pc band at the time had a drummer; so I used the DrumTrax only for jams playing around with). My how times have changed! :-)

WOW ... I still have one of those 'monster' Peavey speakers - we used them with the band in NY - and an amp head very similar to yours ... add to that a cordovox and a Fender Rhodes and it's no wonder I've got a back problem ... and if that's a 'technics' turntable I still have that also ...

How many $$$$ was all of that equipment approximately at that time? Just a guess is good enough for me. It's the curiosity getting the cat thingy. Jim, Tony?

I will say this: we must have had those speakers in the late 70's, early 80's because I moved to RI in '84 and knew about the move for over a year ... we would not have purchased a new PA system at that time ...

That looks like my Peavey KB300. I bought two in 1982 for about $250 each. They sure were heavy beasts @ around 100 lbs. I still have one I keep at the band room for guest bass players.

If memory serves - they are Peavey 1210T PA speakers. The KB series were self powered keyboard amps.

Yep, they are Peavey T-300. I had a KB300 and a KB500 - they were brutal to lift. Sure glad those days are long since gone. And I had a two keyboard setup, with a couple rack mount items on a third tier. I recall posting a photo of it here many years ago, back when it took 45 minutes to setup and you damned near developed a herina getting the gear out of the van and onto the refrigerator dolly. Back then I had a pair of Peavey SP5-G's mounted on poles, the speakers weighed about 75 pounds each and they were fired up with a Peavey 600-watt stereo powered mixer, which weighed more than my Bose L1 Compact. How life has changed, and for the better. Those were the days.

I recall talking with a group called the Hubcaps It took them all day to set up, so they set up the day before the job, using two tractor trailer loads of gear, one just for the sound system.
