You should upgrade now, because you will be making changes as you start using the keyboard and at this point you won't be afraid of losing anything.
Bill, hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew, as far as the job. It is only two hours and they will have people to move my gear. I just hated to turn it down because it is an important client that hires me several times during the year for political fundraisers and such. If it were today I wouldn't try it, but I should be stronger by then.

Just told Jaine what you were planning to do, if you remember she's a Nurse Practitioner, and she advised against doing the gig, especially singing! You've got a lot of healing and strengthening to do! Have you got a cardiac rehab program planned yet?

It will mostly be background music while they "mingle". I can play lots of instrumentals if I want. I probably won't play much more than an hour total. I played for about that long in my office today with no problem.
Just can't lift anything very heavy yet. I'm walking about a half mile several times a day now.

I agree with Graham and his wife. Singing involves the chest and your chest needs time to recover from the trauma of the invasive surgery. It will be good to get back at it but I think next Tuesday is far too soon. On the other hand, you're very good instrumentally so if you can get by that way it may be a good way to ease your way back. Just take it easy and don't do any heavy lifting. Remember, we're all praying for you and whatever comes your way.

I think the worst thing you need to fear is picking up a bug from someone else!

You'll know what you can or can not do and besides that, I don't think Susan will let you do anything stupid. ;-)

I use more air blowing on that breathing they sent home with me than i do singing! I worry more about picking up bugs in the waiting room and the doctor's office.
I think it will be all right. If I feel differently Monday I can get someone to fill in for me.
