Sounds like the input will work for guitar Dave.

From the manual.............
"When the “Left In to Voice Processor” routing option is selected
in the Audio & Video > Audio In page, you can still use the Right
In to connect a mono line source. The Right In audio signal is
replicated on both Audio Outs. It is also recorded when recording
an MP3 Song."

Now I just have to save up to get one. Taxman was not kind this time around.

Has anyone tried the update yet?

My 1st grandDAUGHTER was born today, and I've been on the road and at the hospital most of the day ... just got in and saw this!!!! Yippieeeeee!
I'll test right away.

Sigh .... good news and bad news. In my haste to load this up - I made a backup first. (ooops - I saved the wrong file!!!!) Then reloaded the thing and sure enough ... the second input works like a charm, but I lost my latest edits .... grrrrr ... I saved RESOURCES, not a SET - So now, I have to reprogram the whole thing. It might be a blessing in disguise because I was having that weird lock-up tone problem and couldn't figure it out - starting fresh might fix that. Fingers crossed.
So ... yes, I'm excited about grandchild number 3, but Pop Pop will be a tired Pup (pop?) after doing a HUGE reprogram tomorrow and Saturday before I take it on the job.

I'm relieved, really ... at least the OS is fixed!

If it did nothing other than add the audio input, I'm happy. Except for that annoying lock-up .... this has been a dream machine for me. It's probably a good thaing that I'm forced to reprogram the thing .... keeps me sharp

I will try it today. Still not too strong, but I just had a call to do a job next Tuesday and I accepted, so it's time to give it a try at least.

You should upgrade now, because you will be making changes as you start using the keyboard and at this point you won't be afraid of losing anything.
Bill, hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew, as far as the job. It is only two hours and they will have people to move my gear. I just hated to turn it down because it is an important client that hires me several times during the year for political fundraisers and such. If it were today I wouldn't try it, but I should be stronger by then.

Just told Jaine what you were planning to do, if you remember she's a Nurse Practitioner, and she advised against doing the gig, especially singing! You've got a lot of healing and strengthening to do! Have you got a cardiac rehab program planned yet?

It will mostly be background music while they "mingle". I can play lots of instrumentals if I want. I probably won't play much more than an hour total. I played for about that long in my office today with no problem.
Just can't lift anything very heavy yet. I'm walking about a half mile several times a day now.

I agree with Graham and his wife. Singing involves the chest and your chest needs time to recover from the trauma of the invasive surgery. It will be good to get back at it but I think next Tuesday is far too soon. On the other hand, you're very good instrumentally so if you can get by that way it may be a good way to ease your way back. Just take it easy and don't do any heavy lifting. Remember, we're all praying for you and whatever comes your way.

I use more air blowing on that breathing they sent home with me than i do singing! I worry more about picking up bugs in the waiting room and the doctor's office.
I think it will be all right. If I feel differently Monday I can get someone to fill in for me.

Tony, the device Don is using is a CPPB device, which is used to increase the internal pulmonary pressure, which in turn forces any excess fluid from the alveolar spaces within the lung. Those fluids are then excreted by the kidneys. Essentially, the device is used to combat congestive heart failure and has proven quite effective for decades.

I've had to use that thing so many times I've lost count ... somewhere around 14-15 surgeries ... none as serious as the heart, but a couple were significant ...

I fully endorse the update to 1.10 - it fixed the stupidness of removing the audio input's functionality, by restoring it to the way it worked when it was BUILT. Sheesh.
I recorded 2 short demos right from the beast, so I'll post them in another thread.

UD ... I realize you said you made some error when you updated, but will following the directions supplied by KORG allow me to return all my Factory and User settings/Song Lists, etc. to what they were before the update?

The error I made was strictly a brain fart - instead of "saving all" I saved the resources. Doah! Just back up all your customizations to reload after the update. It's painless if you pay attention. I guess I was just too excited. The only thing I lost were my custom STS banks ... I can do them again.

Well, it won't work on your s950, and since you're never going back to Korg - doesn't really change your life, but ...

it has a midi correction that I am not affected by and the audio input. The second one is all I cared about. Now I can monitor guitar and iPad trax through the internal speakers! YAY!

When you reloaded Musical Resources, where there new styles and/or sounds?
I'm not that interested in the aux input. I don't see anything else that is that important to update unless there are new styles or sounds.
At any rate, I will wait until after my job Tuesday before I update. I have custom sts settings, new styles loaded to factory locations, custom entries and filters in the Songbook, user sounds in Performance Bank, etc. Too much to accidentally mess up!

Don, I'm not sure because I have a job tonight and I needed to reload my old setups to get through. After tonight, I'll reset it to factory and see what's new ... if anything.
