I can't write music worth a lick (I can barely read it)
I have come up with some original compositions and would like to be able to have it scored.
is there software that can do this? (i don't know how to use midi files either....I have mostly been able to record live audio from my headphone jack (kn5000)---upload it to my computer as mp3 or wav file
I would like to be able to play it back and have software score it?
does such a thing exist?

Great: if you have a talent for playing music by ear, you can throw this talent into the garbage can now and take software instead. Computers will destroy music completely.

Edit: Luckily these programs don't seem to work properly YET, according to the customer reviews.

Software will never compensate with natural musical ability. Besides Phillip was asking about scoring music that he can already play so your criticism about using that software doesn't even apply here.

If you have problem with people that use music scores or charts maybe you should start a new thread on that rather than hijack this one. I think you will find many musicians use scores or charts. There is no shame in doing that.

checked out the links---need to build up a bit more funds to try those programs out....are there any others that can do what I would like? (I am not doing anything professionally....just want to see what I am actually playing---and should I want to copyright it, I am pretty sure I will need to score it wink

the only one that seems to do what I want is sibelius.....but seemed to get horrendous reviews
anyone have experience with this?
the intelliscore actually requires more than one program to score music
what about some of the other programs.....notion4 seems interesting...and there were lots more listed (google search actually directed me to synthzone site for music scoring)----those links (wildcat) proved to be broken?
