Always working on new ones, but most are not really new - just old songs that people love to hear and I'm adding to my performance list. Lately, I've been getting lots of John Denver requests, so I added Annie's Song, Sunshine On My Shoulder, Southern Nights, which was not a Denver song, but they seem to like it, and Back Home Again. Every week I try to add one or two more to the list, especially on weeks like this one when the snow keeps my inside. Gary

A few new arrangements of stuff I've done before..."Hymne" by Vangelis (using an edited Irish Hymn 1 on T4), "A New Kid In Town" by the Eagles, "Moon River" done as a Jazz Ballad rather than a Waltz, and a reworking of "Alone Again, Naturally" by Gilbert O'Sullivan.
My friend with the Tyros5-76 is giving me a brand new printer (I don't have one) so I can finally print off a bunch of tunes I downloaded from Wikifonia (now closed) some time ago.
No shortage of great tunes, that's for sure.
Ian

In 2013, I did a bunch of NH gigs, and I prepared dozens of tunes that I thought the clients would enjoy hearing as well as songs based on lists from the good people of this forum and many other sources. Everyone seemed to enjoy what I offered, but I could sense that in some cases, I wasn’t hitting the ‘sweet spot’ and I would ask, ‘Do you have a favorite song(s)?’ Of course, the responses varied a lot. But, I did detect a sort of pattern, and some were songs that I had discarded a long time ago. Songs like, Tennessee Waltz, Blue Moon, My Melody of Love, Bad Leroy Brown, All of Me, Music-Music-Music, Goody-Goody. I’m trying to recall as many of the requests as I can and revive, re-learn and re-work ‘em. Ciao, Jerry

Great stuff !!! Keep em coming !! Funny but as I read two people listed Tequila Sunrise I had it in the back of my mind today. While working on some Style Edits on the BK9, thanks to Fran and Diki, a style hit me. Perfect for Sunrise and Blue Bayou. Maybe tie them together. You never know.
Also I agree, sometimes those tunes you forgot long ago come back around. A while ago I pulled Moon River. Hadn't done it in years. Don't you know I get a request for it on a gig. Put it back in the list, but that list is getting really long.
