I think you'll find Deane uses only one at a time...

Really? Wow!

So how do you chose which one to take? And THREE times the work, finding styles and making Songbook entries and Performances to do a single playlist? Plus editing the factory stuff...

I hope he takes two, at least!

He only takes one, as stated above. We all do, well at least most of us. wink

Diki,
I have always found it boring to hear the same old sounds day after day. Having different keyboards breaks up the boredom. I just grab whichever one suits my fancy that day and go do the gig - no problem. It is kind of neat to hear how the same song sounds on each of the different keyboards.

I can understand that in terms of keeping your music fresh but that's why you have an arranger with lots if styles and lots of performance features in it .But it would be more beneficial to you as a musician and to improve your performances to focus on your favourite arranger and master that first . Rather than rely upon the set ups the manufacturer has suggested I. Each keyboard , why not create your own multiple set ups on the one keyboard ? It's hard enough learning to become a solid two handed keyboard player without having to change your workflow every time you switch keyboard .

I, like Deane, have many combinations to choose from. We are both retired with enough money to buy anything we choose. Having one keyboard for years, and knowing it inside out is fine for some, but the variety of sounds and styles keeps my juices flowing.

Right.
It's Deane's money and he is entitled to spend it the way it pleases him most.

Yep, and the differences in styles, even subtle ones, can also be refreshing.

I think you have done a good thing Deane...plus, if you ever have an issue with a keyboard...you, especially, have no shortage of back-ups. wink

Very important if you gig regularly.
