Hi Robbo ,

Changing the oktave is possible on your Tyros 5 .

Go into the Style Creator .
Go to the Parameter .
One of the Parameters is the Note Limit .
You see there Low C-2 and High G8 .
When you bring down the G8 to C3 or G3 or another note
and save the style you will have your backing track in a
lower oktave .

When your backingtrack is too low you can bring the Low C-2
up to another higher note .

In this way you can get the backing just as you want to have it .

You will have to do this for all the styleparts when you want to change it in the whole style .
With styleparts I mean , the Variations , the Fills , the
Intro's and the Endings .

A friend did send me a mail and said " deb , there is someone
who needs help "

My advice to you Robbo , for these kind of questions you better ask them in the PSR Tutorial Forum .

I hope you will enjoy the styles you can renew in this way .

I am sorry for my poor English but I hope you understand
my message .

For answering your question I came back in this forum just
one time .

Deb, your English is better than most of the folks who reside in the U.S.A. and UK - no need for apologies. smile

Wow! That's a hell of a lot of rigmarole to simply bring a style Part down an octave!
