Dear Friends ,

Nothing beats a real musician playing his Arranger Keyboard .
At the Demo Show where Peter Baartmans played and explained
the Tyros 5 he used an Audiotrack with a singer .
He played together with "The Singer in the Audio Box " , and
he did this very well .
The Demo Show was of the highest level .

As I said before , with the Audiofacilities of the Tyros 5
a real good Musician can play the music to the singer he
has in his keyboard .

Peter Baartmans gave us the Website where you can find many
Acapella singers for your Arranger Keyboard .

More and more musicians will use this very special feature
of their instrument .

Visit that Website and make your own choice .

Yes it was an exceptional good Demo show in which we could
hear a Singer in the Box . ( Your Arranger Keyboard ).

Very good of Peter Baartmans was that he gave us the Website
where to find many singers for our Arranger Keyboard .

This is also a solution for the problem that the audience
wants more variation in the music , not just one singer .
Now you can use in different songs different voices of
different singers .

The future looks bright for those man and women that play
the Music . The real Musicians .

Try this link .

I like new ideas but this is on is way off. No audience is going to accept or understand someone behind a keyboard with a mystery voice coming out of no where. People focus on the vocals. They would think your faking the whole thing.
In the case of the demo the crowd was there to see the new instrument and what it could do, not a typical gig. Having a voice in the mix was just a nice extra thrown in to demo what the keyboard could do.
Look at the music shows on TV. They all feature vocalists unless there is an exceptional instrumentalist throw in, but rarely.

Hi Bill ,

People learned to accept singers with music on tape . The first
time they saw that they must have been thinking "where does the
music comes from ? "

The world is always changing , always people want something new .
The music shows on TV are singer shows but there is no good reason for a musician to accept this situation .

The best part of the music comes from the musician .
The musician now can use a new tool , the Audio Recorded singer .
There are many ways to use this feature in an Arranger , the
musician should be creative in finding his own way .

I got much support from different musicians after reading my
messages about the Audio Recorded singers .
But most of them are not writing in English but they can read
these messages .

Here is link to Singers for your Audio Recorder ,

Now all you got to do is find a bunch of audio files of singers singing songs with no backing...

Best of luck!

Hi Diki ,

When you use the link I gave you in my message you will find
hundreds of songs (acapella) , singers without music .
They are useful for Keyboardplayers with Audio facilities and
DJ's .

Now you can play together with Madonna and many other singers !

Try them and you will be surprised .

I think the best option here is for you to do a few gigs this way and then get back to us on how well it went over. Please describe the type of gigs too, not just a bunch of friends gathered to see what your new keyboard can do.
I will be very interested to hear the results although I have a strong feeling as to what they might be.

Deb, your posts seem to imply that singers aren't musicians. Please tell me this isn't the case.

There are musicians and there are singers , I see a difference .
I know that some singers say my music instrument is my voice but
I do not agree .

A human voice is not an instrument .

Thank you for explaining your point of view. It has helped me to understand why you think audiences would find this reverse karaoke acceptable/entertaining.

I'm pretty sure if this was tried around here you would get booed off of the stage if the manager didn't fire you first.

Deb ... perhaps you missed the part of the definition that INCLUDED the human voice as an "instrument" ?!?

deb ... I guess I too subscribe to the general thinking that 'instrumental' music does NOT include 'vocals', BUT I do believe that the human voice is an instrument through which the vocalist delivers a song - much like an instrumentalist does with an instrument - ...

But then again, there are those that can use their vocals in mysterious ways. wink

Hi Tony ,

Thanks again for giving your vision in a decent way .
I do respect your vision .

Hi Travlin'easy ,

This is a very great example of how a human voice could be
used . Thanks for sharing this video .

I think that you need to TRY doing this, deb, then let us know how the audience takes hearing a singer, but not seeing one.

All I can say is, singers have been ruling the roost for thousands of years, I see very little chance this is going to change. Part of singing is COMMUNICATING with your audience... Singers do a great job of conveying emotion and energy, not just by their voice, but by their stage manner, their audience contact, by their expression and personality. Take all of that away, and just leave the recording, what have you got?

A DJ.

You see, the truth of the matter is, there aren't bars all over the world where people go to play music along with taped singers. There are bars where SINGERS go to sing along with taped MUSIC! It's called karaoke. Maybe you've heard of it?

Instead of this ridiculous theoretical idea, how about you go do it for REAL? Then come back and describe the disaster..!

Deb, I wish you all the best of luck with this idea/project. Sometimes it's concepts like this that lead to bigger and better things. I have learned long ago to keep an open mind regarding innovation of any kind.

Time will tell how this will evolve.

Some of the simpler uses would be for recording and rehearsal and/or for trying different accompaniments and also for learning to play behind the vocalist in different keys (the voice can be pitch shifted).

Hard to predict how it would be received in a live situation, but if the audience is properly prepared beforehand, it could be rather cool and unique.
