Anyone here seen one, played them, know anything about them? They're showing up on YouTube.

Casio US's current models for these are the CTK-7000 and WK-7500. These models here not only have different model numbers, but slightly different design as well.

Perhaps these will be hitting the US soon (perhaps?)

The wk-7600 has some improvements over the wk-7500...

They did correct the dumb 3 position flute slider to 9 position slider ...making the drawbars more useful..

They give you a reading compacity of 32g for external memory card...and than limit you to 999 files shocked

They need to give us a lyric reader for SMF's....Like the mz2000 decades ago..and the CK 831 that followed years later....than what happened...we haven't seen it since frown

They are only a few steps away from making a perfect nursing home instrument...to gig with.. grin

Squeak

The 7200/7600 have been available in the European market for, I think, almost a year now - maybe a little longer.

Fran

The 9 step sliders are certainly an improvement, but what caught most 7000/7500 owners' attention was the onboard EQ, but that ended up being like the 7000/7500's sliders - its just a 5 pre-set affair - better than nothing, but still pretty coarse. Maybe the next issue will have a 9-band 9_step EQ - one band for each one of the sliders. If they do that, they might tempt me into trading in my current 7000/7500.

Regards,

Ted

No MIDI jacks, no Sync Stop or "arranger hold" function. Only two variations and fills per style. Thanks, but way below the Korg MicroArranger or even an ancient PSR-730 in terms of capability. I'm open-minded but if Casio wants these to be thought of as more than a toy they need to address what I consider to be significant feature gaps.

Ted, what about the features that it has over the Microarranger?

Full size keys...and 76 of them smile

Real drawbars for organ..

A mic input...

I think you have to look at more than a couple variations and hold.. smile

For liturgical music, a "sync stop," or a way to silence the style when the keys are released in the chord recognition area is a must-have. All of the mid-range keyboards from other brands have this feature. You might be able to stop or fade out the style by using a foot pedal, but it would be very awkward. Would it kill Casio to add a button for this, or a menu parameter?

Full-size midi controllers and drawbar organ modules are available as add-ons. IMO styles, style flexibility and control are what define an arranger, and these boards don't measure up to other MOTL offerings in this area. My $02, anyhow.
