Does anyone hate their compact SUV?
Does anyone love their compact SUV?
Gotta get a used one for the wife. Poor thing has been driving without air for two summers now. She's too old and good looking to suffer like that. Ask Gary and DonM if I'm lying.

Just buy a Toyota RAV4 and dont look back.Change the oil every 3k and its possible to reach 300k...I love mine. Honda CRV would be my second choice for sure for the same reasons. wink

Honda CR-V and Toyota Rav-4 are the way to go if you want rock solid reliability, but they do tend to hold their value very well, which isn't advantageous to those looking for a used SUV.

I guess it's typical but even these two models have more complaints than I like to read about. However,I think the models that do not have many complaints did not sell very well and really there aren't very many of them on the road to complain about. Does this make sense to you.

I wish DIKI was a mechanic, then I'd know for sure what to stay away from, but he's probably like me and can only change a radiator cap and or gas cap. Ha ga!

Boo, I've had a Dodge Grand Caravan with stow and go seats since 2007 and it still runs like a Swiss watch. I love it.

Or in a taxi-cab, or on a bus...

Since gear has become much smaller, I haven't needed a van or SUV in quite some time. All my gear goes in my Honda Accord 4-door sedan, and still leaves room for a passenger in the front.

Front-wheel-drive makes the Accord a great car in wet or icy conditions, and mine has the optional heavy duty suspension with sway-bars front and rear, so it handles the extra weight extremely well.

It's also better on fuel than most SUV's or Vans.

And no gig is worth driving in poor road conditions, in my case, snow storms or snow squalls.

I agree, and as I have stated in the past, I have the same policy - "If it's ice or snow, I'm not gonna go!"
