just wondering if we could replace the AUDYA's internal 5400 RPM Hard Drive,

with a faster 7200 rpm...

perhaps this would take care of these PHASE ERRORS some people are having
and make streaming of audio smoother in general?

AJ? anyone try?
thoughts?

I can tell you that not every HD will work correctly on Audya, I think it's the way Ketron have wired thier PCB, and you are right the HD led is a problem with some drives, some the led doesn't work at all.Don't forget the led on the Audya has three connections it's got two colours.

Green and red on my early Audya, just press the DISK button to read the C;\ dir and mine allways goes red Dusan, that means the leds has two diodes, green and red.

Not a loose connection this time (fortunately)!!

When READING from the HD, LED should be Green.

When WRITING/Recording to the HD, LED should be Red.

There are times you will notice - Orange ... when both LEDs are on at the same time (during read and write) ... eg. when recording a style that uses AUDIO drums!!

Thanks.

AJ
