Been fiddling around with the 950. I only work a couple of hour’s weeknights on new stuff. This one seems like it took forever….
Anyway, let me know how the new 950 sounds. Music and vocals are going through the board..

Tune is One and Only http://chipos.com (just click the play bottom on the bottom right)
Think I might be losing it in me old age….

Thanks Guys

Good one - I listened and commented on your post on the PSR-Tutorial forum. Over the years I've been listening to your songs, and everything seems to sound so much better now than it did those many years ago when I heard your first submission. You've obviously been working very hard at perfecting the songs you've composed and this is a great example of how that hard work is really paying off.

Keep up the good work, Larry

Man, I like your style, Beach.

Simple but very effective arrangement, and I enjoy your vocals a lot.

Did you use an accompaniment style for this tune, and if so, could you tell me which one?

Very impressive work.

Ian

Hi,

I had a listen to a couple of these and they are very impressive.
super clear and very crisp Live Sound!

I am interested to know if the over all EQ, compression and reverbs are from the board itself or from the recording software being used on the Computer?? Like are u using Sonar / Cubase or something ??

I just recently purchased an S950 and absolutely loving it. im very impressed with the quality this board offer for the price (less than half the price of a Tyros 4).

you're an inspiration!
Nick

Really enjoyed your tune. Very catchy, stays in ones head for a will. The 950 sounds great and so are the vocals. Did you use the Vocal Harmonizer in your recording of the tune? Great stuff!

Gary, Should be getting better, it about 11 years now since I first posted a song here. I admit some of my earlier work was god offal and thanks to some of you pointing it out and not holding back actually drove me to get better and better. Thanks again for the support Gary!
Thanks Monto!
Hey Ian, yes it was one of the new Pop styles which comes with the 950, sure gave me a nice bed to work with, Thanks Ian
Nick,
I really have not looked too closely at the setting of the board I did make a few adjustments to the eq but not to the compression (this one does come hot out of the box). It’s not like I am using fancy software either, I actually spent about $800 (Sonar, Audition 3.0, MBOX) on new software and I don’t even use it, sold the MBOX but you can’t resell sonar, so you’re stuck with flushing the cash down the toilet. I like my Audition 1.5, still get the best sound out of it. I have a pretty basic set up going from the Keyboard to a Health an Allen mixer that way I can split the left and right cables plus it is a quit mixer. Then I run it to the soundcard, use to have an old audiophile but did upgrade that to the RHE Card, less noise. Then I use my 1.5 audition to do the recording. Think I had about 50 tracks, but a bunch get muted as I re-do them. Anyway, I had a Tryos 4 and I really don’t miss it… Glad you liked it Nick and let me know if you ever need help recording and thanks for the big thumbs up!
DMAC – No vocal harmonies were used on this one, some of my older ones have them, sometimes I use them to brighten up the chorus but you have to be careful to lower the volume on them and bury them in the mix so it all blends in.. Thanks again
