How do you all connect your keyboard to the Bose Compact? Do you use just one cable from the mono output to the 1/4 inch connector on the Bose?

In my case with the PSR-S950, I use a single cable from the L/R-mono output and go to the 1/4-inch jack of the Bose. No problems.

Brian, the reasoning behind NOT using the RCA plugs is impedance mismatch.

I use a cable that has 2 1/4 inch jacks on one end and rca's on the other. I put the rcas into a plug that converts them back to 1/4 inch and plug that into the 1/4 inch jack of the Bose. This satisfies my needs.

By taking both right and left outputs from your keyboard then converting them to rca -- converting them back into ¼ Mono, then to the bose is that not the same as going from rt/lft of the keyboard to the Bose?

At one time I used the same setup as you with my Kn7000 and Tyros3 and found no difference.

I have no mismatch when I go 1/4" to rca. It sounds just fine.

I have no problems with mono since the Bose covers the room so well. Whether I use a single out into the single in, or the double outs into the rca ins - I get the same result. GREAT sound.

Left/Mono output from keyboard to line level switched 1/4" input on Bose Compact. Works great.

If gig space permits, I use two Bose Compacts and run my keyboard output stereo left and right.
