Plus, you've got to get that door opener updated ... newer ones have a laser 'eye' that detects if anything is in the path of the door and won't allow it to close if there is ...

It has the beam across the bottom, but evidently something was sticking out from a table about halfway down and the beam didn't pick it up.
I will probably have to replace the entire door, but it is old anyway. Like I am.
