Hi Colin,
I really enjoyed your laid back version of the song. I thought the use of the harmonies was right on too. Don't know how it gets much better.
Added it to my play list.

I thought this was great recording. Your voice sounds really good. Only constructive criticism is that personally I would back off the volumes on the harmony voices just a bit.
I've never heard this song; it's a good one.

Hi Deane and Don

Thanks' for the comments, I agree with you Don listening again I got the harmony a tad heavy, also possibly the Bass, using Cubase it's easy to change.

Don, the song was written by Johnny Cash on a visit to Ireland, I have been performing it for the old folks for quite a while, it always goes down well.

I've given it a quick tweak

This is a version by a very popular Irish singer.

Colin,

I listened to your original and the first thing I heard was an off sounding background note (but not a wrong one) or chord just 2 or three seconds into the song. The rest was good, but WOW, your second take was superb! You made so many subtle vocal changes from the first take that for me it transformed the performance.

I'm a Scot but have travelled on business quite a lot in the Republic of Ireland. Your singing would be so welcomed in their pubs and clubs.

I look forward to hearing much more!

Ian
