Cmaj7 - Cmin7 - Bbmaj7 Bbmin7 - Ab9 - G7 going back to C

Chris Montez did a version of it (among many others) back in the 60's

Ian got it right...he's improvising on "Call Me" You can hear it in the Ab measure. Also, the length of the A chorus is the same as Call me. The bossa nova style is another hint. How High the Moon it definitely is not.

"Call Me' seems to be the underlying tune. Starts off a bit like "Quiet Nights and Quiet Stars"...yet some tv show theme pops up in my head I can't pin down..70's cop drama??...
