I Finally got the audya update 41B today ander after
installing I noticed a strange error in all the strings,
programs and styles.
So I did the update again and still the same.
Strings almost sound like a sirene.

What to do now

you shouldn't do this update if you already have installed the sound and style update. it is only for people who do not wish to upgrade.

Hey Alliehoe,

Sorry about your difficulty. It specifically says on "Ketron.it" that the 4.1b software download is not for Auyda 4 and 5!

I think you should RESET your Auyda 4 to the factory default.

Turn the Audya OFF. Then, while holding down the F10 key and the UNPLUGGED button, turn the Audya back ON. Maybe this will help.

Good Luck,
Don P

I own the Audya,
But found the solution already.

I copied a part of the update that
was on the internet some weeks ago to
the usb stick and keeped the part that
I need to use it on my keyboard.

Then after updating everything is fine.

Anyway thanks for offering your help

Don
would you happen to know if its possible to save all settings.patterns/midis/ etc on to a USB stick plugged into the front?
The reason i am asking is that my 2 week old Audya is faulty or at least thats how it looks to me right now. It will not communicate with my computer or any other computer and I have done all the checks-cables, settings in Audya, etc
So I may have to do a full reset and even then that may not work as it appears that
the machine is faulty and will have to go back but I have spent 2 weeks programming and getting ready to use it on my gigs, and i would lose all that I presume by resetting it?
Thanx
Rusty

Hi Rusty,

Actually AJ could answer this better, and I'm sure he will.

I know you can save styles, registrations, patterns, ETC to USB. I'm sure you could copy everything from the HD to usb and save. But I would ask around??

i am not in front of my audya just now but think you do it this way:
pop your usb drive in one of the front slots. (probably be best to have folders on there already: single, block, midi etc)

go to 'disk'

then navigate to the desired folder so you can see your files using the cursor/enter keys.

press disk menu.

highlight all the files you want to copy by using the cursor keys and pressing the enter key to put a little blue dot by them (can be as many as you wish)

select copy (or move) using the F keys

select your target destination (D:remov) followed by the folder you wish to place the files in.

then I think you have to press execute (one of the user keys maybe 5/10) and then confirm

and thats about it.

On another note, have you tried the Audya on another computer? We have never had a faulty USB port here in the UK, but we did have one customer who had a problem when connecting to a computer. It turned out to be an issue with the USB driver for his USB port not the Audya that was causing some devices not to register. His printer worked but when he tried a Nikon camera that would not work either.
