With any kind of luck, Susan will bake you a wonderful cake, then take you out to dinner, a bit of dancing, then whisk you away to the bedroom, and.... Damned, I forgot what I was thinking - Don's an old fart - just like me. Happy birthday old man.

Happy Birthday Mr. Mason.
And from now on we all will be trying not to form an image of you as Brian's post suggests when we see a comment from you. And...please don't get any funny ideas about changing your avatar to resemble that...

Enjoy sir. And like I say, the older I get, the better I was..

RE: Toby Kieth video:
My best friend, a retired marine, went to see Toby Kieth at the PNC arts center a few weeks ago. Toby pulled him up on stage during a song, then came back over to him later and pulled him up again, with his son, and asked any servicemen to come up, as he sang American Soldier.

Thanks guys!
As some of you know, my wife Susan and I have the same birthday (but 16 years apart).
I played in a golf tournament this morning. When I came in, she was having severe chest pains. Gave her aspirin and called 911 and she was transported to the hospital.
They can't find signs of a heart attack, but the pain has continued periodically. All tests so far have been negative (EKG, Catscan for aneurysm, blood tests, etc. BP is normal too.
Anyway they are keeping her overnight and have given her morphine for the pain. I just came home to get some things and I'm going back in a few minutes. She doesn't appear to be in any danger, but it is perplexing to say the least.
Thanks for you kind wishes and prayers.
DonM

Don,

My wife has the same ailment and has been diagnosed by her cardiologist as having Coronary artery spasm, which can bring on a heart attack and other serious complications. She tested perfect in all test even heart cath, but none the less has been prescribed a Nitro patch which so far has kept those attacks at bay.

This diagnosis has been resisted by about half the cardiologist population because the Nitro patch is the only thing they can do about it so far.

Check it out here:

Just brought her home from hospital. Diagnosed as Esophageal Spasms. Have to see GI specialist to see about possible treatment. For now everything is great! Thanks for your support!

Don ... We have been out of town since Thursday and I just had a chance to get to S-Z ...
belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and considering Susan's outcome, I would say that ultimately it was ...
As I was reading your posts about all the cardio tests being good I was going to suggest she be checked for esophageal spasms ... I cannot count the number of times I have been rushed to the ER with the exact same symptoms of a heart attack - severe chest pain radiating up to the neck and jaw and to the shoulders, sweating, lightheaded, etc. only to find - fortunately - that it was esophageal spasms ... One 'problem' is that the nitro they give you in the ER to relieve the cardio symptoms also relieves the esophageal spasms so they have to do all the tests, but better safe than sorry ...
I have been through countless tests for reflux and the spasms ... My Gastroenterologist has me on a daily 60MG dose of 'Dexilant' ... the spasms do not occur as often but the severe pain and other symptoms are still the same ... at least I now feel I can tell that it is a spasm and not a heart problem ...
Get her to a good Gastroenterologist and ask about 'Dexilant' ...
Wishing you both good health and many more years ...

Don's older, taller and uglier than I am....a real WINNER in my book!

Be well, Susan!
