Good effort, but a tough song at that tempo Matty ... it might work better at a faster, swing type style or even a bossa ...

I think I'd have let the accompaniment balance the lead. Might have been a bit more cohesive that way. Do I sound like a stuck record? LOL

I guess I must be somewhat of a traditionalist with many songs, especially this one. Just not my thing, I guess. Your playing ability is fine, so nothing to worry about there - it's just my particular sentiment with certain songs.

There's one HUGE difference between an SMF and an arranger version. Should you make a mistake in the phrasing, get lost, come in late, etc, in arranger mode, you SORT of get away with it.

With an SMF, it won't wait for you... Maybe better for getting the song right!

Maybe we could rename this one, 'Don't Wait for me, Argentina'!
