I received my new Podium Pro 1205a today...Every new series has been improved..this unit is super..I will test it tomorrow for it's limitations..if any.. smile

It is a 300 watt program /600 watt peak class D amp ..

Built in MP3 player with remote control..
A built in ipod interface...

And there is a Blue tooth model for another $20....

What amazes me is the bass response of the 12 inch Podium Pros..

The band has been using the prior series 1204ca...for a few years now...never needing a sub woofer...they weigh 48 pounds each ..where as the new 1205a weighs only 28 pounds..

I tried the 1205a with the Edirol mixer..and it kicks serious butt.. grin

I have a School concert on Friday( Bristol High School), that I am the sound system supplier...I will be using two Roland Cubes for the audience and this 1205a for the school class (Graduation program for young children..) The Edirol mixer will give me the control I need for this gig..

Check out the link to Only factory direct..

Do they make a 10" model? I can't find one on their site, I must be missing something. They usually seem to offer all their speakers in 10, 12, and 15" configurations

That would be great if you guys could really do side by comparison and let us know the results.

Don

I have to say in most cases I agree but a few years ago tried some Carvin stuff. The LM12 series speaker I have just can't be replaced. Lightweight, great bass response and super clean highs. I'll be DJing with them tonight. I push them with a 500 watt Yamaha mixer and they take all the power it can put out. I now have a pair of 10" and Carvin's very small powered mixer for my studio. Great stuff at a very decent price.
They discontinued this line and I'm sorry I didn't get the 15" models too. Anyone got some LM15's lying around ???
I keep trying to justify a change in PA stuff but then realize I have great stuff.
If it ain't broke ........... LOL
