For those that might find the cross hand stuff a bit tricky, try this trick...

Split the keyboard, assign the same sound to both halves, then transpose up the bottom half two octaves. Now you can play stuff that SOUNDS like you're doing what he's doing (but instead of in the same octave, your hands are two apart), but you're not having to do gymnastics with your hands to achieve it!
