I know a guy from Staten Island (Charlie Sauss) that played accordion for "Fiddler" on Broadway back in the day..he is a superb player.

Sparky ... how did you know Charlie ... I am from SI and knew Charley also ... he certainly is a PLAYER !!! ... cool guy too ... sometimes a little 'off center' but in a good way ... grin

Did you know other musicians from SI ... I was born and raised there, played in a general business - weddings, etc. - band there from high school to 1984, when I was relocated to RI ...

I have known Charlie for several years. In fact I need to return a phone call from him 2 days ago. Norbert Ludewig (also from SI) is a close friend and I met Charlie through him.

The book for Fiddler is brilliantly written, but it's FREEKIN' HARD to play! I'm doing my best to catch up - all those minor scale runs .... whew ...
