This is the best programmed Salsa style I ever heard, bar none.

This is what you call authentic Latin music. I’d love to hear what Jo programmed for the rest of his styles...Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata, etc.

If I could get just this Salsa one in an arranger keyboard, I’d buy it tomorrow (well...not really tomorrow...maybe next week sometime).

In the early arranger days, they had a few “rhythm style” books on the market that would show you in a graph type diagram, how the instruments come together to form a style. And they listed ALL the styles. Example: Conga on the 1st and 4th beat, Tom-Tom, 3rd and forth, and when you finished laying down each drum, presto, zippo, you had a complete pattern that you could then use as a platform to improvise your own style. I went through a lot of drum books in the music store but can’t find them anymore. And I went and lost the one I had!

Who voted it style of the year?..with some multipads and if needed record some additional percussion parts I think very good Latin styles can be achieved on a T4 or many other arranger KB's for sure. confused1

If your looking for pro latin styles the only keyboard that is the closest to live latin band is Ketron. I played in latin night club for a number of years and ketron was the best at it. Try there web page Ketron.it

Donny.....you missed the whole point. rolleyes According to Joe, he programmed that style himself! Based on what he did with the Salsa, Yamaha should hire him to do ALL their Latin styles (and Roland and Korg.......and maybe Ketron could use a little help too).

P.S. I named it ***WINNER***.......I listen to a lot of Latin music....he's right on the money with that style arrangement he did!
