Joe Sample ... WOW !!! ... I love his "Carmel" CD ... I remember many years ago, working the 9-5 in NYC late one night listening to a Jazz station out of CT ... I called the station to find out what song they were playing - it was 'Sunrise' from this CD ...

Yes ! I can't believe they manage to get a legend Like joe Sample to play a Casio keyboard. That is just an illustration to show how much Casio has improved their game

Wow, what great demos. Both Joe and the Casio demonstrator make that Privia Pro PX-5s really sing. Loved the Rhodes sounds.

Yes, it is an impressive release - I have already started trying to source one out here and to get the pricing, which I am told will be VERY competitive.

Now all we need is access to manuals and specs to really see what's what wink

I was also told the action and the samples on this are not on any other Casio line, including the standard Privias...even the new ones. Now whether that is seller spin or not I don't know for sure yet, so take that with a grain of salt laugh

I'm surprised no one mentioned that "massive" poly on this new model. I'm willing to bet we'll see a trickle down with the sound chip used for the PX5S. Casio is making a huge comeback IMO. Just seeing them release a synth like the XWP1 shows they're determined to change public opinion....
