Since you have both keyboards ,why do you prefer to use Psr s950 instead of Pa3x to your gigs?

I don't really prefer the 950, but I like the guitar sounds.
Either of them is fine for what I do, especially right now, when I'm not doing much of anything!
I would like to keep both of them and use the Yamaha for backup, but I will probably sell one or the other.
I have gone over what I like about each of them several times already, but in a nutshell I prefer the Vocal processing and harmony, the Songbook, the Joystick, the touch screen, the ribbon controller, the foot controller, all the assignable and pre-assigned buttons and sliders, and the drum sounds of the Korg. It also has XLR connector for mic, extra outputs, standard power cable, phantom power, chord sequencer, etc...

I love the guitar sounds and vast selection of styles on the Yamaha. Overall I think the quality of the styles (that I use) on the Korg is better and they probably better suit what I do though.
The 950 weighs slightly less than the Korg, but it is also a little larger in size. No big deal either way.
One important thing to remember is you can buy TWO PSR S950s for the price of the PA3X. We are NOT comparing apples to apples here, but the 950 offers tremendous value, sound and features for the money.
Hope this helps.

We have so many great choices at different price points. A good keyboardist will sound good on any of today’s offerings. For me, there’s no perfect keyboard. You have to set your priorities. I love the AWSOME live sounding styles on the Audya but prefer the AMAZING voices of Yamaha. Korg wins in FANTASTIC features such as their songbook, chord sequencer, and vocal harmonizer but Korg seems to lack in availability of additional styles. Roland has some SUPER editing tools but the thing weighs a ton! So you just have to decide which features are most important to you and what you can live without. Or you can just buy a couple of keyboards smile

Paul, there are lots of Korg styles out there, including the Musikant styles, and conversions from Roland, Technics and others. Also many song-specific styles.
Come and get this thing while I'm in the MOOD!

I just trying to to convince my wife that a new keyboard would bring more joy to our lives than re-flooring our house. But seriously, if I can sell my marimba, I'll call you.
