INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF “AUDYA SOUNDS UPGRADE “ WITH PEN DRIVE.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Before proceeding to load the update, we recommend creating a backup of your data,
as the Wave Table will be rewritten and Presets, Programs GM Voices, plus some User Styles and effects setting will be modified.
Time needed to complete: 3 hours and 30 min. approx.
The update operation cannot be interrupted once started.
Upgrading with the Pen Drive can only be done using the HOST USB Port as illustrated below.




INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

Please follow carefully the instructions below:

a) Delete all files with “.MEM ” extension of the Main Directory (ROOT) on the System Hard Disk
“ C: ”.

b) Insert the Pen Drive on the USB port located on the front left side of the keyboard.

c) Push the button “DISK” and chose “D:REMOV” by pressing the button “USER 2/7”.

d) Copy the file “AUDYA41B.MEM” to the Main Directory (ROOT) of the System Hard Disk
“ C: ”.
How to copy a file from a USB device in to Audya HD.

e) Once copying has completed, turn OFF the Audya. Whilst depressing the "F10" and "Unplugged" touch button, turn the Power switch ON. Continue to hold the two touch buttons for a few seconds, the Audya will power into Boot mode.

f) Press the “DISK” touch button and chose “D:REMOV” by pressing the button “USER 2/7”.

g) Select the file “00KTNinstall00” and press ENTER.
The procedure will start immediately and the screen will display installation progress.

h) When completed please switch OFF the keyboard, wait a few seconds and then turn the keyboard ON

Further info on the use of the Pen Drive:

The Pen Drive can be used, as many times as necessary, but only on the same Audya.
When connected to a PC, the Pen Drive will be recognized as a regular USB device, it can also be formatted and used for other purposes but, in this case, the original content will be deleted.
Despite the above note, we suggest to use the Pen Drive only for its main purpose and to keep it as is, in case of eventual future need. Consequently it is important not to delete, to remove or to modify any original file.

Why Robbo have you got your stick yet, it's a long way Italy to Down-under. Be very careful how you delete those *.mem files.

Hi Tony,
yes it looked as though I had the stick from my reflections in that last post, but no I'm waiting although, can't see it being a long wait, either Ketron will be sending the sicks to the dealers, or do they send a master to the dealers from which they copy, either way it shouldn't be long and it certainly suggests that, its happening whilst they are on holiday's?. I will follow the instructions to the letter, and certainly make a back up first!!

do you think it would be at all possible to give, or get the powers to be to write an explanation of what exactly is in the 1.8gb mem stick, yes got all the info on how to upgrade but nothing there on what exactly is being upgraded.

So.....
It have new improved POWER algorithms Effects
New PCM sounds <258 mb>
New AUDIO DRUMS 670 mb
New styles.
New Programs, single sounds with new articulations...
New and improved INS and SUPER SOLO sounds....
And totaly improved sound .....

thanks for the reply, but what I would like would be say a particular sound or style that has been upgraded, so one can compare the better result, looks like there is an awfull lot of upgrade on the stick, but i want to quantify the outcomes of the upgrade, however I am enjoying the Audya now, and this should be a great bonus, Thanks for your reply
