Hi,

I had 3 choices in my quest for a new arranger. Either a pre-owned PSR S910, the new PSR S950 or a pre-owned Tyros 4. I really couldn't make my mind up until tonight......and I've decided to go with the 910.

Basically, I have agreed a price of £720 for the keyboard. I don't think the 950 will be worth £1000 more....and there isn't actually a Tyros available at the minute to take in to consideration - but regardless, we're talking £2000+.

Do you think I'll be happy with my choice? I think it is a good price for the 910 and while the 950 will undoubtedly be superior......will it be £1000+ better than the 910.

I know everything is subjective but just thought I'd ask others thoughts on the above.

Thanks

NO! No matter how subjective something is i dont always believe in those
stupid words as its *SUBJECTIVE*...it is more real...no, the PASR S950
can't do 1000£ more then the S910...forget what people will tell you.

Valid point... the 750 has the same sounds as the 910.
It does not have the vocal harmonizer and color screen.
But the 750 has the audio multipads, new speaker cabinets, distortion effects for guitar, expansion options.

It will be great if you can try both side by side and then decide.

Good luck !!

The only correct decisions is the one you arrive at yourself. You need to find somewhere you can play these instruments.

We often get Tyros 2, 3, 4 and PSR 910 in PX for Audya's and SD5's. Whilst the Yammies are not my cup of tea I would probably choose a Tyros over a 910. I just cannot see why people pay so much for 910's. I have yet to hear or see a 950 though.

If your on a budget, Tyros 3 is falling in value real fast and we try and get rid of them as quickly as possible, 3 months ago we could get £1599 for a nice one, now £1200 tops. At Pakefield one of the dealers was selling p/x'd Tyros 1's for £299 with stand and speakers.

Stein67,

No offense, but man you seem to be all over the place in two different posts.

If money is not an issue, I would opt for:

1. T4

2. S950

3. T3

4. S750

5. S910

6. T2

Or maybe the NEW Korg PA600 ...OOPS SORRY...Now I gave you something else to think about.

If you choose any of the above, I'm sure you'll be happy, they are all good...just pick one, and try and buy.

Thanks Tonewheeldude........jeez the T3 for £1200 would be another option!!

Larry - I am all over the place, you're right. I keep changing my mind and wondering if I should push my £££ and get a higher spec model.

There's a nice hardly used Lionstracs MS on sale on ebay near you, about £1800 he might take a lower bid on it, it's been on ebay a while now, that would solve all your problems, keep you busy for a year or two... confused2

TWD you don't want to be telling all and sundry about the dropping price of the Tyros range, you will never sell them, BTW what's a two year old Audya selling for now compared to new price, way less than half I'll be bound.

Look when you buy a top of the range KB and try and sell it two years later, not one of them hold their price, buying a new keyboard is worse than buying a new car, even a car doesn't loose these values, and frankly no KB on this earth is worth £4200.

The cost to build KB is a fraction of this, and I don't need a lecture about investment in software please.

If people want to buy a KB they should do like Diki, love it so much they would never part with it, one word of warning about this kind of behaviour, if we all did that we would all be playing what we were playing 10 years back, zero churning zero investment, the real World is not like that. People move on, unless you know different, look at Donny he's done some churning this last few year.

Here's a thought, in the last ten years how many Kbs have you had, I am on number 5, BTW TWD if people didn't churn your shop would be selling pies, you thank your luck stars that people don't like the Kbs they play, don't knock it, just think if all the people that walked into your had their pockets stitched up... rotf2

Your old ship mate Tony, hope you and your family are well and keeping you head above water (floods)

Regards

STein,

You are all over the place but for what it is worth:

It beats me why ANYONE would want to buy the new PSR750.
Either go for the toprange here the 950, but MUCH better still in my view, get yourself a decent secondhand PSR910 and with the money you save you can almost buy yourself a brand new KORG PA600 in addition to that. With the PA600 combined with the PSR910 you will have a killer set up that beats virtually most of all that has been suggested so far.

JOhn

P.S. if the PA600 would be out of range due to money spent on the PSR910 you could still opt for the PA500,new or used.
I am sure Donny will be able to recommend you these keyboards....
