#3514 - 09/27/05 01:04 AM Yamaha S08 Manual = GARBAGE!

I have recently bought an S08 synth with no prior knowledge of synthesizers. "No problem", I thought, "I'll follow the manual"...If only it weren't written in some long forgotten language that no longer makes any sense! Am I being stupid here or do others agree with me.
Anyway - I spent most of last night trying (and failing) to assign vibrato to the modulation wheel - could anyone help?

All Yamaha Manuals are the same. They tell you what a button is for but don't tell you how to use it.
KORG & ROLAND both do good manuals.

Strange,
Many people swear that Roland manuals are worse..
Personally, I think the Roland manuals do the job quite well.

As to your vibrato problem, somehow you need to get the mod wheel to vary the amplitude of the volume section of the sound your editing.
It could be as simple as assigning the mod wheel to a LFO (low frequency oscilator).
Me not having a S08 synth does really help you, not having knowledge of synths isn't really help your self either.
Now if you had a Roland I might be able to help.
