Hi again all,

I've just been informed that on the Audya the recording level is way too low direct to the HD. I was so much looking forward to this feature, as I've never had this luxury before.

Has anyone perhaps found a solution or work around to this. This is one of the Audya features I really intended to use intensively.

Keep well all my friends,

Henni

Hi,
When you do a recording with waverecording and it's done,go to wave edit and normalize your recording, with datawheel, you can go to 100% and even more, than your recording is done and has the same volume as your Audyastyles and voices, even louder.

Tx for the reply.

So I'll not loose any definition (detail) in this process then?

I think that is why you should record as a .wav rather than .mp3

Hi Henni,

the wave recording-level depends on the "wave-slider" ( in the "player-section" ), so put that one to maximum volume during your recording !!!

Ooops, but maybe this feature depends on the OS-Version...

I am on the latest o/s Snoopy and even with the wave slider at maximum the recording level is still way too low. I think we spoke about this before and the answer was to record then normalize but it seems a long road for a shortcut

Hi all,

I started recording last night (how nice to have the Audya casually on my lap whist recording - no more special setups & connections to a laptop in fure!!! This is AWESOME!!!) & I see exactly what you mean. It makes no difference if I record MP3 or wave or what I select as the source, the result comes out very low volumed.

In fact, I made 4 demo's that I'd like to post over here, but I'll first have to "up" the volume on my laptop before uploading.

Keep well all my friends,

Henni

Hi Henni,

when your Audya is "up to date" ( OS 4.2B ) you won´t need the laptop ( and software like audacity ) for normalizing.

You can do it directly within the Audya

Hi all,

We put all our latest music on a CD recently & I handed these out to some of my friends at work.

One person who is involved in sound & recording, was stunned by the quality of the recordings (note, I'm not saying stunned by our music, but stunned by the quality in which it was recorded)

He found it hard to believe that this quality could be achieved by simply recording live direct to the HD of the Audya.

So, another superb feature of the Audya - the recordings are perfect (Yes, the volumes are low, but that gets fixed when I normalize when burning to CD)

Just thought I should share this with you all.

Keep well all my friends,

Henni
