Oh my, it seems I post this every year! PBS has a fund raising campaign going on, the show is fabulous! Long live doo wop! The 50s and 60s music! Golly, it's awesome.

I always like those shows. It's funny, I was just thinking I should cover more stuff from that era for senior shows. What doo wop tunes do you guys like to play?

Do a 1-6-4-5 progression with triplets and you can play an entire show with the one medley!

It's sad that many doo woppers are dead and within 20 more, we'll all be dead! Enjoy it while you can.

Here in Grand Junction the Do-Wop shows are on PBS pretty often. Down in New Orleans the old 50's R&R, R&B and Do-Wop has been brought back for maybe 15 or 20 years there about.

It is really very popular and really sounds like the 50's. Maybe the name that they are calling the music helps. They refer to it as "Swamp Pop."
