Hi Group,

Anyone using the Roland VP 7 Voice Processor? What do you think? Anything out there as good as or better in that price range? Recommendations needed!

I've never used a stand alone vocalizer. Now that the T4 is gone, I'm in the market.

Thanks,
Don P

The best standalone harmonizer I've tried is the TC Helicon Voice Live touch. It's got everything you could want, plus looping and guitar/MP3 trigger ins ... amazing sound, so easy to use and quite stylish!

I've heard the Roland is pretty bad.

I have a Roland VP770 which I love, but NOT because it sounds authentic. In fact, vocals can sound pretty lousy unless you do a LOT of tweaking. The VP7 is MUCH worse and doesn't have all the other POSITIVE features that makes the VP770 still desirable despite it's less than stellar VOCAL HARMONIES. Of course I realize you're looking for a MODULE, but just re-emphasizing DonM's comment on the VP7. I have a ten year old TC Helicon that sounds (much) better. Wouldn't recommend (the VP7).

My Digitech Harmony M sounds great, and works flawlessly with the BK7M. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but it does up to three part harmony very well and has an excellent vocal processor built in. Also, it is inexpensive compared to a lot of them.

I personally don't use VH anymore just too cheesy and fake for me......but when I record in studio for b/u vocals I Luke the Digitec VR unit to me it has a warmer realistic sound.

The Harmony-M does a great job for me as well. The vocal harmonies are very realistic and much cleaner than the Digitech VR, which I still have a pair of sitting on the shelf.

Cheers,

Thanks for your input guys,

Deecided on the TC Helicon Voice Live Touch. There is quite a variation in price. From 499.99 @ major online dealers to $353.99 NEW on Ebay!
