If all this is fact, Korg must have bought a lot of bad batteries from their vendor . . . I plan to wait a while before I try to get warrantee repair. I'm not sure I believe all of these "facts". Too many failures to be simply batteries.

I finally found an authorized service center that would replace the clock battery in my PA3X. It was replaced on Thursday and still seems to be working OK. So the problem, reported by so many people, apparently is a simply result of Korg using a lot of bad batteries in the production process.

The clock battery is a totally different battery from the RAM backup battery that most of us have already replaced.
