I wouldn't put her even close to Etta James... I cant say I was blown away, but not a bad vocal on this timeless song.

Just compare her to the orriginal and 2 of the greatest singers of our modern time....

But then, listening to these songs only left me wishing for a version by Adele, this is another one of those songs that would fit her like a tailored evening gown...

wow thats a real surprise. I guess its just a matter of taste. This was an incredible vocal to me but i like a particular tone and style.

Both Beyonce and Christina have premier voices but often times they use a song just to showcase their voices rather than to deliver the song. As a song writer that can be annoying sometimes !!

I was originally doing a serach under Alan McPike. One of the best one man band players of our time. But again thats just my opinion.

what do you think of this guy ?
another classic 'Laura'

Let me throw this one into the mix.

This is the female singer from my band when I was located in New York.

No Tracks, recorded in the studio.

I too really enjoyed Sophie's rendition. cool
The one annoyingly distracting thing about it though
is that iPod headphone cord looking like it's just about
ready to pull out of her ears at any sec and ruin her performance.

Excellent rendition of one of my favorite tunes...this lady certainly does it justice.

Alan McPike's arrangements are always tasteful as well...one of my favorite players.

Thanks Spalding.
