I would LOVE to be able to lock my favorite manual bass into the "manual bass" section, instead of it always defaulting to the bass chosen by the style.
Anyone ever done this?
So far as I can tell, I'd have to rewrite every pattern to have the new bass sound in it, and that would be counterproductive for when I play the style WITH the auto bass.
Thanx!

The obvious workaround is to use the LH sound for bass, which I do, but it'd be great to have a one button switch that turns OFF the auto guys and turns ON the bass.

Nope, got a 61. Had it about 3 weeks. Still evaluating. Some stuff I love, some I'm still working on.

Dave,
I don't have the kb out yet, but there is a Manual Bass lock, in Global, Preferences, Locks. Don't know if it locks just the status, or the sound as well.

Hi Dave

Have you tried using a performance. On the pa2x in the user DK
performances there is one called Piano Trio which sets up a trio with bass on the left hand etc maybe you could adapt that system.

Kind Regards

Col

Don, I didn't realize you had one too - good for you! I swear ... this one was made for me. I will adjust and tweak till it's pure Uncle-ready, but to be fair - it came out of the box about 90% ready to play on a job.
Go to Staples and get that teeny-weeny 16GB USB stick that's almost invisible (Relay-micro)and you'll never have to take it out of the slot!
I saw that Manual lock, but I haven't fooled enough yet to see if it works as I want. So far, it seems the same as the PA800 in that respect, but I'll search some more!
Col - I have tons of great presets already that have the LH bass, but I'd like that "one button" ease in swithing from arranger to manual if I can get it.

I tried it and it does not hold the sound. It just keeps Performances or Songbook settings from overriding the manual bass setup.

Yeah - I think Korg engineers want the bass that THEY pick to stay with their styles. I'll have to write a dozen or so of may favorites with the bass that "I" Choose. It's a small inconvenience - are you loving the layout of this sexy beast? I can't believe hoe easy it is to get to everything. I really love it.
